Thanks to my man Rob and the fine folks at Warner Brothers Records, I’ve got a set of the very cool Jane’s Addiction vinyl reissues that are coming out on Record Store Day. When is Record Store Day? Haven’t you been paying attention? Saturday, April 18th! Mark it down, and check out my previous informational posts on the subject here.
On Record Store Day, you’ll be able to get your mitts on pristine 180 gram vinyl reissues of the classic Jane’s Addiction releases Nothing’s Shocking and Ritual De Lo Habitual. Both items are well timed, and would allow for mucho enjoyment while simultaneously prepping your body, mind, and soul for the pending extreme awesome overload of radness that is this summer’s Jane’s reunion tour, co-headlining with Nine Inch Nails!
If you fail to score these fine albums here from Addicted to Vinyl, you’ll be able to visit our retail partners in musical sin, Music Saves – The Jane’s Addiction vinyl reissues are merely a couple of the MANY cool items that will be available that day. Check out the MS website for the complete rundown.
I got my copies of the Jane’s vinyl in the mail last weekend, and spent every minute that I wasn’t tied up with Rock Hall fun, listening to the 180 gram slabberiffic goodness of these new pressings. The art, the liner notes on the sleeves…..hell, don’t take my word for it, check out a picture!
I’d like to give you a set of these bad boys – And winning ’em is simple. Just send me an email with your name/address info. I’ll pick one lucky winner to send these vinyl treasures off to!
One email per person, please. Good luck!
Don’t forget about the new Jane’s Addiction box set A Cabinet of Curiosities, which hits the stores on April 21st. There is a limited edition version that comes in a collectible wooden box, limited to 7,500 copies. Click here to pre-order yours from Amazon.
You can also check out a listening party for the new box set via this link.
By the way: These albums are made to be played loud. Very loud. Don’t let me down on this one.
