Good Listening: Del Amitri @ Slim’s, San Francisco, CA – 4/30/95

This here post is for TJ @ Viva La Mainstream.

There are days in my life that if I were to head off to that desert island, I would require only three albums – Waking Hours, Change Everything, and Twisted.

Del Amitri mix tracks from all three of those albums into one night of music in San Francisco at Slim’s.

Broadcast on San Francisco’s KFOG, 24 hours after another Slim’s broadcast with The Jayhawks, it was certainly a good 48 hour stretch to find yourself in the Bay Area.

I loved this tour to pieces. SO many good memories.

You can experience a bit of it for yourself via this radio broadcast.

Hey, it’s raining, I should have brought my coat
And sometimes I could sell my soul
Just to sit and watch you smoke
And I don’t mind if you want to break my heart

‘Cos you can burn paper
You can turn a wheel
But you can’t change later
Here and now just how good we can feel
