The third installment of the 12 Boots of Christmas series comes straight from the snowy Rocky Mountains to your computer somewhat interrupted by a detour through Palestine, Berkeley, London and the North Pole that took about 17 years to navigate.
Sorry for the wait. You should have seen Santa’s face when this one came back from the lost and found…
With only thirty days left in the 1992 calendar year, we find Warren Zevon performing solo at the Fox Theater in beautiful Boulder, Colorado on December 1.
Warren is in town visiting old friends and previewing his upcoming album, 1993’s live retrospective Learning to Flinch, for the mile-high faithful.
In a fact that Zevon (and Santa) would find worthy of celebration, it is also the one-year anniversary of voters from the Ukraine approving a referendum for independence from the former Soviet Union.
Emptying the acoustic suitcase on both piano and guitar, Zevon treats us to a grab bag of 20 tunes that span his colorful career, all of which are presented in pristine living stereo for your repeated listening pleasure.
It’s all here, from the hits (“Werewolves of London,” Lawyers, Guns & Money,” “Poor Poor Pitiful Me”) to the “oh wow, he’s doing that song” (“Splendid Isolation,” “Worrier King,” “Hasten Down the Wind,” “Piano Fighter”) to the staples that we all know and love (“Mohammed’s Radio,” “Play It All Night Long,” “Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner”).
As he always did in the solo acoustic setting, Zevon proves himself to be the consummate entertainer; a great instrumentalist, a gifted lyricist, and an engaging storyteller.
Just the kind of guy that Santa loved….

Saw this on his website..The guy deserves it,that's for sure..
You have a cool site..Thanks..
I'm bummed that I never got to see Warren live, but happy that so many of his concerts have been preserved and made available via the Live Music Archive – Very cool of his family to authorize that.
