While the Waitresses song has a great groove, fantastic horns and one of the best bass lines ever, it loses points for half-assed lyrics that need to be stretched out in order to fit the meter (last lyric – “to a very happy eh-ehn-ding”). Run-DMC win because they are the first artists to ever work “collard greens” into a Christmas song.

  2. Tough one but gonna say Christmas Wrapping because it has stuck to me the most this year, starting in October. It's partly because of that song that I've been cooling and chilling like a snowman more than usual this holiday season.

  3. strange, that didn't even register…and I grew up less than 10 miles away from Hollis.
    I like Chrissie Hynde more than Joan Jett too 🙂
