You’re all winners, you really are…
Congrats to Ann, Kim, Michael, Anne, and Daniel – they are the lucky recipients of the Jackson Browne/David Lindley DVD freebie that I offered up last week. I put the DVDs in the mail today, after getting back from Virgin Festival, so you all should be enjoying the DVD by the end of the week!
How about some vinyl?
I’ve been listening for the past few weeks, to several great slabs of vinyl from Concord Music Group, which I recently wrote about.
Appropriately, today is National Vinyl Record Day, so take a wild guess what we’re going to do?
If you guessed that the answer was “give away some really cool vinyl,” you’re dead on the money!
(that would be Andy Taylor “Dead on the Money” style of course.)
The fine folks at Concord Music Group have given me a set of the five albums that I featured here, to give away to one lucky Addicted to Vinyl reader!
Here’s how you can win ’em:
In honor of my weekend trip to the Virgin Mobile Festival, where I was drowning in the musical goodness of Wilco, Foo Fighters, Cat Power, Stone Temple Pilots, She & Him, Nine Inch Nails (and so many other great bands,) I’d like to turn it around to you guys.
I’m looking for your favorite rock and roll/musical road trip story – a favorite road trip that you took to see a great show, a week spent traveling to see shows by your favorite band….whatever comes to your mind!
And of course there are often plenty of hi jinks, near misses, and unintentionally hilarious situations that often pop up on the road to a good rock show.
Tell me your story, and stick it in an email to me.
One randomly selected Addicted to Vinyl reader will walk away with copies of the following:
Sonny Rollins – Saxophone Colossus
Bill Evans – Waltz For Debby
Yusef Lateef – Eastern Sounds
John Coltrane – Soultrane
Theolonius Monk / John Coltrane – Theolonius Monk with John Coltrane
Check out the full slate of releases available from Concord Music Group, right here.
Email me your favorite road trip story – Good luck!!
Big thanks to Concord for this great giveaway!
