Ever blog something, and lose the whole thing?

Sure you have.

That’s what happened to me, just as I was posting my Springsteen/Tesla item. I was really happy with it, and had to recreate the whole darn thing from square one.

So as a result, figuring out how to disable the auto-click feature in Windows Vista, which is what caused the post to go bye-bye (when I moused over the back button for a second) got moved WAY up on the priority list. Situation handled, and now we should have no further problems involving my “not-so-good-ol buddy” auto-click, moving forward.

The remix of the Springsteen/Tesla item still came out good (in my humble opinion,) and the main thing you need to know about it all is this: If you don’t have the new Tesla live DVD (review here,) get out there and grab that sucker. It’s SO good and necessary for all Tesla fans.

What? You’re not a Tesla fan? Pick the new DVD up, and become one.

  1. That’s why I like having you as a friend!!

I am not familiar with Windows Live Writer…but will definitely check it out.

I don’t usually have this problem, if I keep the post in draft status, because it auto-saves as I am working on it.

In this case, I was building out a post that I had started very briefly, and then I had it set (post-dated) to publish at a much later date, so that it would be in line, and ready when I was ready to finish it.

I’ve gotten burned by that system a couple of times as well…setting something up like that, and then forgetting about it….and then suddenly BOOM, an unfinished post is live to the world. Great!

Thanks very much for the tip!
